On Tuesday, May 20, Ka'apor women began a new phase of mobilization in the villages. We are the Guardians of the Forest, and with this round of visits, we seek to strengthen and publicize our work. This movement is part of the COPAIBAS Project and aims to expand the dialogue with other Ka'apor women about our role in defending the territory, culture, and governance of our people.

As female leaders, we feel firsthand the importance of being united. Our work is not limited to protecting nature. It also involves strengthening our internal organization, guaranteeing our rights and continuing our way of life.
This journey is made through listening, conversation and presence. In each village, we share our experiences, listen to the challenges and encourage other women to become Guardians of the Forest. We explain that the space we occupy today was conquered through effort and positioning, and that there is room for more women to join this journey.
We remain steadfast, motivating each other, caring for the forest and building, together, a stronger future for all Ka'apor women and for our people.
